About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on marketing, PR, and Social Media professional to help promote our brand, grow our audience, and share insights around sleep with accommodation providers. You’ll be supporting our mission of giving those without a bed a good night’s sleep. Can you help?
What Difference Will You Make?
Your work will help Score-A-Bed become a more visible, credible, and influential voice on sleep quality and bed poverty, grab attention of media outlets, and lead to valuable partnerships that help us achieve our mission.
- By growing our audience and strengthening our brand, you will help us collect better insights, build stronger partnerships with accommodation providers, and support fundraising activity.
- This, in turn, increases our ability to fund beds and improve sleep for adults and children living in bed poverty and homelessness.
What Are We Looking For?
- Experience in marketing, media, PR, brand, or communications, and an interest in using those skills for good.
- A strong network of journalists and media connections, who you can introduce to Score-A-Bed, and place wide-reaching earned media pieces.
- Comfortable contributing to marketing and communications strategies that help grow awareness and engagement.
- Experience creating or supporting campaigns, content, social media, or media activity.
- An eye for brand, messaging, or visual design, with graphic design or creative skills being a bonus rather than a requirement.
- Able to think about how we go to market and communicate clearly with different audiences.
- Enjoys working collaboratively and sharing ideas, including working closely with our volunteer fundraiser.
- Any experience supporting fundraising campaigns, donations, or charity-led marketing is a big plus.
- Creative, curious, and proactive, with a genuine interest in improving sleep quality and helping lift adults and children out of poverty.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
