Marketing Project Coordinator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Marketing Project Coordinator based in United Kingdom.

This freelance opportunity is ideal for an organized marketing professional who enjoys coordinating projects and keeping teams aligned.

You will support marketing campaigns, launches, brand initiatives, and day-to-day project operations from planning through delivery.

The role combines project coordination, social media knowledge, stakeholder communication, and detailed task management.

You will collaborate with creative, digital, product, and other cross-functional teams in a dynamic remote environment.

Your work will help ensure projects stay on schedule, risks are identified early, and deliverables meet expectations.

The position offers flexibility, professional development, and the opportunity to contribute to a variety of marketing projects.

With approximately 15 hours per week, it can suit professionals seeking a flexible freelance engagement alongside other commitments.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives from kickoff through completion.
  • Coordinate project timelines, plans, task trackers, milestones, and deliverables to keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Support social media-related marketing activities and coordinate associated assets and approvals.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, document discussions, and follow up on action items.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or blockers, and escalate issues to relevant project or department leads.
  • Act as a communication link between internal and cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate the delivery, review, and approval of marketing assets across relevant stakeholders.
  • Track team capacity and workloads to support resource planning across active projects.
  • Maintain organized project documentation, including briefs, status reports, templates, process documentation, and post-project reviews.
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist with tracking project budgets and identifying potential variances.
  • Provide additional marketing and project coordination support as needed to help achieve team objectives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in marketing support, project coordination, project management, or a related field; experience levels from junior to senior may be considered.
  • Demonstrated social media experience is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in a remote, cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Trello, or comparable tools.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, deadlines, and project requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
  • Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, particularly when identifying project risks or resolving operational challenges.
  • A process-oriented approach, with the ability to break complex projects into clear, manageable tasks and document workflows effectively.
  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working independently within a defined scope of services.
  • Availability for approximately 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with working hours generally aligned between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST.
