Position: Marketing & Social Media Executive
Salary: from £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Type: Full Time
Location: London
Work Model: Hybrid (minimum two days per week in our London office, combined with home working and support at events as required)
About Us
Only A Pavement Away is a national charity that supports people looking to rebuild their lives through employment opportunities in hospitality. We act as the bridge between hospitality employers and referral partners, helping individuals facing homelessness, prison leavers, and other disadvantaged groups access sustainable employment.
As we continue to expand our impact across the UK, we are seeking a creative, proactive and purpose-driven Marketing & Social Media Executive to join our growing team and help us bring our mission to life through powerful storytelling, engaging content, and impactful campaigns.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about content creation, social media, communications, and using marketing to drive positive change. Working closely with the Head of Events & Brand Marketing, you will play a key role in increasing brand awareness, engaging our audiences, and showcasing the impact of our work supporting people facing homelessness, prison leavers, and veterans into employment within hospitality.

- Creating and managing engaging content across our social media channels, including planning content calendars, producing posts, videos, and campaign assets.
- Bringing our brand stories to life by capturing and sharing authentic stories from our community, candidates, employer partners, and events.
- Supporting the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels, including paid social campaigns.
- Managing community engagement and monitoring conversations across social platforms.
- Taking ownership of our podcast, including guest coordination, content planning, recording, editing, distribution, and promotion.
- Supporting PR and communications activity, including press releases, newsletters, media opportunities, and website updates.
- Tracking marketing performance, analyzing insights, and identifying opportunities to improve engagement and reach.
- Staying up to date with social media trends, content formats, and opportunities to grow our audiences.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a marketing, social media, or communications role.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Excellent content creation skills, including copywriting, photography, and video creation/editing.
- A strong understanding of brand storytelling and audience engagement.
- Experience managing content calendars and delivering campaigns.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and use insights to improve activity.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, creative, and solutions-focused approach.
- A genuine passion for making a positive social impact.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or similar design/editing tools.

Desirable
- Experience with podcast production or audio/video content.
- Experience using social media analytics and scheduling platforms.
- Knowledge or experience within hospitality, charity, recruitment, or purpose-led organizations.
