Role Overview

The marketing specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the regional marketing manager across all marketing channels, including campaign, digital and event management. Helping shape, support and deliver Omnicell UK’s marketing plan, this is a highly audience-focused role which requires strong organizational skills, creativity, high-level attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

This role will also be leading on the organization and execution of the major events in the International markets. You will display a high level of adaptability and the ability to think on your feet while juggling multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

UK Marketing Support (80%)

  • End-to-end management of the annual programme for events in the UK (and for the major International ones), including preparing appropriate marketing materials, ensuring timely and effective communication with registrants before and after events and maintaining a presence alongside the wider team. Obtaining internal and external feedback and reporting back improvements for future planning.
  • Supporting in the execution of effective campaigns across key marketing channels, including social, email, digital and website, including briefing new landing pages.
  • Proactively support the marketing manager on delivery of marketing plan activities, including generating new ideas and initiatives to help drive the commercial engine.
  • Work with wider marketing teams to assist in the creation of messaging, assets, and branding that successfully engage target UK audiences.
  • Write successful outcome-driven social posts and manage the social media calendar across the year to correspond with key events, content themes, campaigns, and industry news.
  • In close collaboration with Digital Marketing, support the marketing manager in the development and execution of change to the UK website, and managing the day-to-day content updates.
  • Providing reporting on campaign KPIs, defined by the marketing manager, on regional marketing-driven activity across events, social media and email marketing.
  • Undertake research projects, delivering accurate insights, including persona online search interests, media channel preferences, and attitudes to technology, to feedback into marketing planning.
  • Manage the production and distribution of marketing materials for the UK business, aligned to the direction given by the Regional Marketing manager.
  • Raising Purchase Requests and ensuring on-time payment to suppliers to provide an accurate view on all commitments and budget position. Provide spend information to business stakeholders as required.
  • Liaising with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers, and external agencies/partner organizations.
  • Maintain and update project plans within the Marketing Management System (Asana) for stakeholder visibility.

International Event Management Lead (20%)

  • Responsible for the coordination of key international events, ensuring each exhibition will deliver expected results in line with the overall company objectives.
  • Be solely responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan for each event, including the definition of project scope, measurable goals, deliverables, timelines, as well as the identification of potential risks and contingency plans.
  • Oversee and manage event budgets, including cost forecasting and actual tracking. Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing and service, always fitting with agreed event budget.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage all event vendors, including food and beverage, audio-visual, signage, transportation, and accommodations.
  • Comply at all times with all the relevant compliance laws, requirements, and best practices in place in countries. Own the process internally and improve it along the way, ensuring it is adhered to by relevant members involved in event organization.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all event stakeholders, including vendors, sponsors, and attendees, ensuring clear and constant communication, with briefing pre and post event taking place in due time.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of events on-site, ensuring every detail is in place and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved. Gather feedback from participants, analyze it, and implement it in future event plans.
  • Coordinate all the event campaigns with the digital, product, and regional teams, ensuring that the planned communications go on time and with relevant messaging for maximum impact with the customer base.
  • Be a Brand Ambassador, creating awareness of Omnicell vision, values, and purpose with key partners and ensuring this is correctly implemented through relevant messaging in events.
  • To develop your professional competence through engaging in ongoing training and development, as well as keeping up-to-date knowledge on relevant marketing trends that would share with the team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • A-levels or equivalent qualifications in subjects such as Marketing, Business, Media, or Communications (often preferred).
  • Degree in Marketing or in other relevant field.
  • Ideally 2+ years experience in a similar role, with a keen interest in Events management.

Work Conditions

  • Hybrid working.
  • Business related travel as and when required (up to 20%). This role sometimes involves international travel and may require working outside of regular office hours to accommodate different time zones or event schedules. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment are critical.
  • Base Compensation: £28K to £34K (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as location, education, experience, and skillset.)
