In a Nutshell:
In this role you will be responsible for owning the strategy and end-to-end marketing delivery required to grow Ansell’s specification and projects business, with full accountability from audience insight, proposition and platform development through campaign execution, lead generation, qualification, sales hand-off, optimisation and pipeline measurement. The role will build demand and credibility among professional influencers and decision-makers, support the specification sales team, and convert marketing activity into qualified opportunities and a measurable project pipeline.

We design and manufacture internal and external lighting solutions for customers across the whole spectrum of the public and private sectors, with quality and sustainability at the heart of our operations. Established in 1992, we have grown to become a global operator with bases in Warrington and Belfast and state-of-the-art showrooms in Belfast, Warrington, Madrid and Dublin, supplying to more than 26 countries. Ansell Lighting is a byword for innovation in lighting design and we have won multiple awards for our energy-efficient luminaires and industry-leading lighting control system, Octo.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Develop and own the specification marketing strategy, target sectors, account priorities, budget and activity plan.
- Build audience insight for architects, M and E consultants, specification practices, large contractors and project clients.
- Create clear sector propositions explaining Ansell’s capability, technical expertise, service and reasons to specify the brand.
- Develop the content programme including CPDs, lighting education, technical thought leadership, case studies, project credentials and specification tools.
- Work with the Specification Director and sales team to identify target accounts, project opportunities and lead nurturing requirements.
- Define how events, partnerships, PR, digital content, email and account-based marketing support the project pipeline.
- Establish a clear lead capture, qualification, hand-off and reporting process with Sales and CRM owners.
- Maintain the specification section of the shared marketing calendar and manage dependencies with Product, Technical and Creative.
- Ensure all technical claims and educational content receive the correct internal approval before release.

AGENCY & SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
- Brief and manage specialist PR, content, research, design, digital and event partners used for specification growth.
- Set clear audiences, commercial outcomes, deliverables, budgets, milestones and measures for every commissioned project.
- Coordinate agency access to technical experts and manage structured review and approval rounds.
- Assess supplier quality, technical accuracy, timeliness and contribution to leads, engagement and pipeline.
COST
- Consistently secure the best value for marketing goods and services by sourcing and evaluating multiple supplier quotations.
- Assist in the effective management and monitoring of the annual marketing budget to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
SAFETY
- Create and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure GDPR and privacy compliance across digital activity, particularly within email marketing and data collection strategies.
- Stay up to date with digital governance policies and platform advertising standards.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Regulations at all levels through facilitating and planning training, communication, risk assessments and audits.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels, ensuring regular communication with Managers, Sales and Accounts Team and support functions.

Are you right for us?
Our Marketing Specification and Projects Stream Lead will have/be:
Essential
- Educated to degree level
- Strong B2B, specification, projects or account-based marketing experience.
- Ability to understand complex audiences and translate technical capability into persuasive propositions.
- Experience developing thought leadership, education, case studies and lead-generation programmes.
- Confident agency, project and budget management.
- Strong stakeholder skills and rigorous attention to technical accuracy.
- Strong creative skills
- Ability to multi-task managing numerous projects and personnel
- Must be comfortable managing content management and PIM systems.
- Financial planning
- In-depth knowledge of marketing functions
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Effective Presentation Skills must be able to communicate with stakeholders.

- Able to operate confidently and communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in a written form

Desirable
- Marketing related degree. CIM qualification
- Lighting, electrical, construction, architecture or building-services experience.
- Knowledge of specification routes, CPDs and project decision-making.
- Experience linking marketing activity to CRM, target accounts and project pipeline.
