LONDON OR PORTO

Our office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub while most of our engineering and product stakeholders are based out of Porto in Portugal. Our open-plan space in both locations is ideal for collaborative working. When you're not doing what's never been done, you can enjoy a team lunch on our large outdoor terrace, or join a yoga class in our dedicated studio in the London office.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Tech (Senior) Principal to join our dynamic team at Farfetch, reporting to our VP Growth Marketing. You will be responsible for leading the organization's efforts to lead the strategic development and optimization of marketing technology solutions to enhance channel performance, drive efficiency, and support ambitious business growth.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and oversee the integration of marketing technologies, ensuring seamless data flow across paid marketing channels (SEM, Paid Social, Display, Affiliates etc), web & app analytics, CRM and personalization platforms
  • Partner with marketing, product, and engineering teams to define and implement scalable solutions that improve audience & value signals, attribution, and campaign performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations while maximizing the use of first-party data for personalization and performance optimization.
  • Define best practices, governance frameworks, and training programs to enhance marketing tech & AI adoption across teams.
  • Help Farfetch in driving towards a single customer view across all touchpoints and parts of the journey
  • Work with marketing & product teams to optimise our product feeds with rich & accurate data for paid & organic channels

Who You Are

  • Deep expertise in marketing technology platforms (e.g., CDPs, customer analytics tools, server-side tagging, customer engagement and automation platforms).
  • Ideally worked in an e-commerce environment with an understanding of online consumer behavior.
  • Strong technical background with experience in REST APIs, data architecture, and marketing automation workflows.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly strategies that drive marketing performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and strategies to senior management, resulting in measurable positive impacts on business operations and outcomes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, data science, and engineering teams (eg managing RFPs with service providers).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven mindset and a passion for innovation.
  • Extensive hands-on or leadership experience in Search Marketing or Display Marketing is a strong plus.
