Role Purpose
The Marketing Technologist is a regional specialist combining loyalty, marketing technology and analytics to support markets across promotions, catalogue and Programme performance.
The role works closely with regional stakeholders from initial brief through to execution and performance review - assessing feasibility, helping shape the right customer solution, coordinating delivery across internal and external partners, supporting launch and hypercare, and analysing whether the activity achieved its intended outcome.
The role also brings promotion and catalogue expertise into Product discovery and solution reviews, while providing ongoing analysis and recommendations across loyalty and Programme performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promotion & Catalogue Delivery
- Review market briefs and assess technical and operational feasibility
- Help shape the right promotion, reward or catalogue solution based on the business objective and customer experience
- Recommend appropriate mechanics, eligibility, targeting, rewards and supporting content
- Configure promotions, catalogue and content directly where appropriate, or coordinate execution through the Ops COE
- Define clear requirements, business rules and acceptance criteria for delivery teams
- Coordinate with specialist CRM partners where messaging or CRM activity supports the promotion
- Own or facilitate QA, UAT and launch readiness
- Support post-launch hypercare, monitoring and issue resolution
- Analyse performance and recommend optimisation or next actions

2. Regional & Partner Facilitation
- Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders and understand their customer and loyalty priorities
- Facilitate activity across Regions, Ops COE, CRM partners, Product, Data and other specialist teams
- Ensure all parties have the context, requirements and information needed to deliver successfully
- Bring together promotion, CRM, Product and customer performance into a joined-up view
- Provide clear recommendations on what action should be taken and why
- Act as the regional point of continuity from initial brief through to outcome
3. Product Discovery & Solution Review
- Participate in Product discovery where new capabilities impact promotions, catalogue, rewards or associated customer journeys
- Represent the market, loyalty and operational perspective in solution discussions
- Review proposed solutions for feasibility, usability and impact on existing promotion and catalogue processes
- Help define business rules, requirements, dependencies and operational considerations
- Participate in solution reviews, testing and UAT where relevant
- Identify potential gaps or unintended impacts before new capabilities are launched
- Ensure appropriate measurement and monitoring is considered as part of the solution
4. Programme Analytics & Optimisation
- Own regular regional and Programme performance analysis
- Monitor loyalty performance across earn, burn, redemption, expiry, retention, promotions and rewards
- Own liability analysis and identify material changes, risks and opportunities
- Evaluate promotion, catalogue and relevant CRM performance
- Use SQL, behavioural analytics and BI tools to investigate underlying drivers
- Apply segmentation and customer analysis to identify opportunities for optimisation
- Translate analysis into clear recommendations for regional stakeholders
- Measure the impact of implemented activity and feed learnings into future briefs and solutions
- Use AI and automation to improve analysis, monitoring, QA and repeatable execution workflows

What We’re Looking For
- 4–7 years' experience across loyalty, marketing technology, promotions, customer analytics or related disciplines
- Strong understanding of loyalty mechanics including promotions, rewards, earn, burn, redemption and liability
- Experience with promotion engines, loyalty platforms, catalogue or content management systems
- Strong analytical capability including SQL and experience with behavioural analytics / BI tools
- Ability to assess a business brief from both a customer value and delivery feasibility perspective
- Comfortable moving between hands-on configuration, analysis and stakeholder discussions
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
- Experience working across Product, Operations, Data and external partners
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to coordinate activity across multiple teams
Desirable
- Experience with Braze or similar CRM platforms
- Experience with Mixpanel, Power BI, Looker or equivalent
- Experience with segmentation, experimentation and customer value analysis
- Experience using AI or automation to improve marketing or analytical workflows
- Experience working across multiple markets or regions
Measures of Success
- Market briefs are translated into appropriate, feasible customer solutions
- Promotions and catalogue activity are delivered accurately and effectively
- Delivery across Regions, Ops COE and CRM partners is well coordinated
- Launches are effectively monitored and issues identified quickly
- Programme and liability risks are surfaced with clear recommended actions
- Product solutions appropriately account for promotion, catalogue and market requirements
- Analysis consistently translates into decisions and optimisation
- AI and automation progressively reduce manual effort and improve speed and consistency
