I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About The Role
You are the technical and operational owner of the ISV / integrator layer that powers the marketplace. Your job is to make integrations work — end-to-end. You sit between the technical team and the commercial team, translating business requirements into buildable specs, and then driving technical integration, rollout, and operational reliability so that every ISV/integrator solution (ERP, OMS, CRM, listing, logistics) is not just launched but trusted and running at scale.
In short: the Account Manager sells the partnership; you make it technically strong and operationally dependable.
Key Responsibilities
- Business → technical requirements: Gather, structure and prioritize business requirements from sellers, ISVs/integrators and internal teams; translate them into clear, buildable PRDs / technical specs (API, data, flow) that engineering can execute against.
- Technical integration & release: Own the end-to-end technical integration of ISV/integrator solutions — API onboarding, mapping, UAT, go-live, and post-launch support — so releases land clean and stay stable (not "shipped then broken").
- Platform operations & reliability: Monitor and operate the ISV/integrator integration layer — track integration health, downtime, data-flow errors, and drive fixes with the platform/engineering team.
- Tooling & selection: Define and validate functional + technical requirements for CRM / listing / tooling; run selection, pilot (e.g. recent CRM-tool test) and scale-up decisions.
- Efficiency & scale: Identify automation / self-service / API-leverage opportunities to reduce manual handling and scale ops without adding headcount.
- Process & standards: Set the technical onboarding and release standards (checklists, UAT gates, QA) that sellers, integrators and CS follow.
- Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, BS, Platform Engineering, Account Manager and CS to keep integration, ownership and quality aligned.
- Data & reporting: Track integration health, adoption, go-live time, and surface technical risk early.

Requirements
- 3–5 yrs in technical operations, platform/product operations, or systems integration (e-commerce / marketplace / SaaS preferred).
- Comfortable with APIs, data models, integration/onboarding workflows (UAT, go-live), and read technical specs well.
- Experience with ISV / service-provider / ERP / OMS / CRM integrations beneficial.
- Strong at translating business requirements into buildable technical specs.
- Hands-on operational troubleshooting (data errors, integration failures, adoption gaps).
- Marketplace/SaaS/ISV ecosystem experience; exposure to API-driven or tooling automation (e.g., automation of onboarding / self-service).
- Excellent cross-functional communication (Engineering, R&D, BS, AM, CS).
- English professional working proficiency; Mandarin a plus.
