Markets Activation Senior Manager

Leading Advisory Firm

Location: London
Working Model: Hybrid

My client is a leading professional services firm with an ambitious growth agenda and a strong reputation for investing in its people, clients, and commercial capability. As part of a significant investment across its sales and business development function, the firm is looking to appoint a Markets Activation Senior Manager to help drive growth across key service lines, sectors, and strategic programs.

This is an opportunity for an experienced business development professional who wants to operate closer to commercial decision-making. Rather than focusing on events, communications, or marketing delivery, the role is centered on helping senior stakeholders identify opportunities, strengthen client relationships, increase pipeline activity, and deliver growth priorities. Working closely with partners and leadership teams, you will influence strategy, challenge thinking, create focus, and ensure business development initiatives translate into measurable outcomes.

The position offers a high level of visibility across the business, exposure to senior decision-makers, and the chance to shape how commercial growth initiatives are delivered within a market-leading professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver business development strategies aligned to growth priorities and target client programs
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to establish clear commercial objectives, priorities, and success measures
  • Drive the execution of growth initiatives that support pipeline development, client acquisition, and account growth
  • Identify market opportunities, target audiences, and buyer priorities to strengthen go-to-market activity
  • Build engagement and accountability across partner groups, ensuring agreed actions maintain momentum
  • Coordinate activity across sales, marketing, and subject matter experts to support growth objectives
  • Use insight, performance data, and market intelligence to inform decision making and drive continuous improvement
  • Support the development of scalable business development programs that can be adopted across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Lead, coach, and develop junior team members where appropriate

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
