Who we are looking for

Markets Product Manager (Assistant Vice President) executes a portfolio of initiatives, and owns the design and delivery of product capability, trading workflows and infrastructure to our State Street Markets Foreign Exchange Sales, Trading and eFX teams spanning FX, FX Options, Futures and Interest Rate Derivatives.

The Markets FX Product Management team encompasses all aspects of the business: strategy implementation; design, development and implementation of client-facing products, trading infrastructure, geographic expansions and operating models; risk oversight metrics and reporting.

You will work directly with Sales, Trading and eFX teams across more than 10 sites globally, and partner with Technology, Operations, Finance, Risk, Legal and other business partners to execute initiatives from concept to production, and deliver products and infrastructure aligned with our strategic priorities.

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Markets. When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to our Markets business unit. As our investment research and trading arm, State Street Markets’ number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world.

The Markets Product Management team is at the forefront of implementing both change the bank and run the bank initiatives across State Street Markets.

What you will be responsible for

  • Work with business leaders to implement strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Partner with technology, operations and other business partners to deliver products and infrastructure aligned with our strategic goals and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with business leaders to identify products, trading infrastructure and operating models necessary for the successful implementation of strategy and initiatives
  • Define product features and develop product overviews, workflows and visual artifacts to crystalize product use, and identify process owners
  • Work with technology to drive technology solutions and deliverables to meet product requirements
  • Understand the full trading flow life cycle and objectives and priorities of the business
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business and user needs in order to recommend solutions and options
  • Identify and frame risks and issues as well as ensure their timely resolution or escalation
  • Define the workflows, processes, policies and procedures utilized to conduct our trading businesses
  • Effectively communicate, collaborate and develop relationships with diverse stakeholders with varied interests
  • Build relationships with business partners (i.e. Legal, Compliance, Operations, IT, Finance, Procurement etc.) and ensure they understand business needs to create robust and sustainable solutions

What we value

  • 5+ years industry experience (Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst preferred)
  • Subject matter expertise in trading and capital markets (FX, Rates, Fixed Income preferred)
  • Demonstrated success executing multiple projects and business initiatives within complex organizational settings
  • Demonstrate capability to interact, negotiate and influence at all levels of management and across the organizations
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical and consultative abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree
