Location Overview

Based just a stone’s throw from the magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral is our London MLFC office, on bustling King Edward Street. Role Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen; it is a high-visibility role on the trading floor within the Equities business to join the Front Office Control team giving exposure to global markets and senior stakeholders. This is a critical front-office support role within a dynamic equity trading environment, providing real-time trade and lifecycle support across Cash Equities markets. You will be given the opportunity to drive process and control improvements.

Based on the trading floor, the role acts as a central coordination point between Trading, Sales, Operations, Compliance, and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure seamless trade execution, effective risk management, and timely issue resolution across the full trade lifecycle giving a strong platform for career progression within Global Markets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to Cash Equity and Sales Traders across UK, Europe, and Emerging Markets (Cash, DMA, DSA, Portfolio desks)
  • Deliver Fidessa trading system support (intra-day and post-trade)
  • Manage trade allocations and bookings for client and internal activity
  • Investigate and resolve trade queries, breaks, and P&L discrepancies
  • Act as a key escalation point for operational and trading issues
  • Drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and control enhancements
  • Support regulatory initiatives and project testing within the equities space
  • Liaise with Compliance, Operations, Middle Office, and Corporate Actions teams
  • Assist with corporate actions and dividend processing

Skills & Experience

  • Equities trade support / middle office experience (buy-side or sell-side)
  • Solid cash equities product knowledge
  • Proven experience with Fidessa
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Bloomberg/Reuters
  • Thorough understanding of trade lifecycle, allocations, and booking processes
  • Demonstrated risk awareness and issue escalation capability

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in equities trade support or front-office control environment
