As an Associate in Markets Technology Strategy and Business Management

You will partner with Markets Technology leadership to solve cross-cutting challenges and deliver actionable insights. You will work within a small, dynamic team that operates at the intersection of Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Risk & Control, and enterprise governance. You will own problems end-to-end, communicate directly with senior executives, and help shape the future of our technology platforms. Your role will empower you to build credibility, learn quickly, and contribute to a culture of excellence and inclusion.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and structure ambiguous, cross-functional problems into clear statements and actionable recommendations.
  • Execute quantitative and qualitative analysis across multiple data sources, documenting assumptions and identifying implications.
  • Build executive-ready presentations and memos with clear messaging and explicit recommendations.
  • Develop insight across delivery, investment, resourcing, risks, and dependencies, improving transparency through KPIs and repeatable reporting.
  • Maintain data quality and consistency for management reviews, technology deep dives, and planning cycles.
  • Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Risk & Control, and Markets Technology teams to drive priorities and actions.
  • Produce insight on organizational shape and health, including spans and layers, location strategy, attrition, and key metrics.
  • Support senior leadership forums by shaping agendas, capturing decisions, and following through on actions.
  • Research and synthesize industry, competitive, and technology trends, translating them into actionable implications for Markets Technology.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Three years of experience in strategy, management consulting, business management, Chief Operating Office, or structured problem-solving environments.
  • Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to triangulate data and stakeholder input.
  • Excellent executive communication, including concise written English and slide storytelling.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and strong Excel skills for analysis, modeling, and structured outputs.
  • Financial and data acumen, comfortable with budget, headcount, and cost data.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • High ownership and comfort with ambiguity, sustaining quality across deliverables.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Undergraduate degree.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to large technology organizations or technology investment, portfolio, or operating-model topics.
  • Familiarity with Markets or trading businesses, or the technology estate supporting them.
  • Experience designing management information or reporting from scratch.
  • Familiarity with firm-approved generative AI tools for research, synthesis, and drafting, with sound data-handling judgment.
  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
