Markit EDM Developer – Asset Management and Hedge Funds
£550–£600 per day inside IR35
6-month contract
Hybrid working is 3 days per week onsite
The Opportunity
A leading financial services business is looking for an experienced Markit EDM Developer to take ownership of critical data development across a high-value technology environment.
This is a hands-on senior contract for someone who understands Markit EDM deeply and can move beyond simply implementing requirements. You’ll help shape solutions, challenge design decisions and deliver data capabilities that matter to the wider business.
The Role
This is a high-impact Markit EDM development role with genuine ownership of solution design and delivery.

You’ll:
- Design, develop and enhance solutions within Markit EDM
- Own technical decisions across key data workflows and integrations
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable EDM solutions
- Work closely with technology, data and business stakeholders
- Improve the quality, reliability and efficiency of existing data processes
- Influence solution design rather than operating as a pure delivery resource
- Take ownership from requirement through development, testing and production
What We’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience as a Markit EDM Developer
- Deep understanding of Markit EDM configuration and development
- Strong SQL and data management experience
- Background within financial services, banking or fintech
- Experience building and enhancing complex data solutions
- Ability to work directly with senior technical and business stakeholders
- A delivery mindset combined with the confidence to challenge and improve existing solutions
