TalentCoach is a platform that connects learners and parents with trusted coaches across sports, music, education, and the arts. Learners can review coach profiles, compare experience and session formats, and book one-to-one or group sessions in a clear and straightforward way. Coaches retain control over their pricing, availability, and services, while gaining increased visibility and streamlined booking and scheduling tools. The platform is free to join, with commission applied only when coaching sessions take place, creating a flexible and supportive environment for both coaches and learners.
Role Description
This is a remote role for Martial Arts Coaches at TalentCoach. Coaches will design and deliver engaging martial arts and self-defense sessions for learners of various ages and skill levels, focusing on safety, discipline, and skill development. How many hours you work is completely up to you as you set your own schedule.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:


Get help with your application

- Planning lesson content
- Conducting virtual or in-person classes
- Assessing learner progress
- Providing constructive feedback
Coaches will maintain accurate schedules, manage bookings via the TalentCoach platform, and communicate clearly with learners and parents regarding goals, expectations, and session outcomes. The role also involves updating coach profiles, adjusting services and pricing as needed, and collaborating with the TalentCoach team to ensure a positive learner experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in Martial Arts disciplines with the ability to teach core techniques and principles.
- Strong training and coaching skills, including session planning, progressive skill development, and safe practice supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a learner-centered, inclusive, and respectful coaching style.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and use digital tools for scheduling and virtual sessions.
- Relevant certifications in martial arts instruction, self-defense coaching, or equivalent practical experience; first aid or safety training is an advantage.
- Advance DBS checks are needed if working with under 18’s.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, safeguarding, and maintaining a positive, non-discriminatory learning environment.
