MASAJ is London’s leading massage company. Designed as a sanctuary for Londoners looking to combat the negative effects of city living, we’ve been bringing our own brand of bodywork to the city’s wellbeing scene since 2016, all while focussing on creating an inclusive, supportive environment for our community, and committing to sustainable, ethical and local business practices across the board.

At MASAJ we aim to take the stresses of being an in-demand Massage Therapist out of the job. We seek to provide a place where Therapists can be the expert and concentrate on bodywork, while we do the rest.
We do this by providing a beautiful space with well-designed studios to work from, great quality sheets, natural oil blends, immersive playlists and a collaborative team with your own dedicated Manager to aid your therapy journey with us. We provide discounted team treatments, healthy, sustainable snacks and hot drinks while at work, a busy schedule of clients with a balanced shift length and a great team of people to work alongside, both Therapists and the back of house team too. We also pride ourselves on being a safe space for Therapists to build a client base and flourish - in an environment that champions the uniqueness of Therapist styles and tailored bodywork.

THE ROLE
You’ll need to complete a short Application Form - simply hit the button at the bottom of this page to get started.
If we think you could be a good fit for our team you’ll be invited to take part in a series of practical interviews which will take place on the same day over the course of 3 hours at our Shoreditch or Marylebone Studios.
Stage One // Phone interview
Stage Two // Practical massage assessments at a MASAJ studio
We operate 2 shifts daily:
Opening // 8am - 2.45pm
Closing // 3pm - 9.45pm
- You will only ever massage up to 5.5 hours per shift
- Shifts are often busy but there is always 15 minutes between sessions
- We do not allow back to back shifts on the same day
- We take care to schedule sensible 2 week rotating shift patterns
- We ask for a month's notice for a permanent change to your rotating rota
- We ask for a month's notice if you are going to be away for a period of time
- There are always extra shifts which you can pick at your own leisure
- We ask all applicants to check they are fully insured and a member of a well-known and respected regulatory body (such as FHT), before proceeding with their application
- We require all our team members to hold a Deep Tissue qualification
- We are looking for therapists with a keenness to celebrate each individual client with special and tailored bodywork
- The position is freelance, invoiced on a monthly basis
- We can offer 3 guaranteed shifts a week minimum (with the potential to pick up more). We have worked hard to build up an excellent reputation with our clients and in the local community so anticipate these shifts to be full.
- We ask for a commitment to a mixture of opening and closing shifts
- We ask all team members to carry out couples treatments
- All team members are required to undertake a paid onboarding session/customer services training session before joining the team (3 hours)
- We ask for a reliable reference before therapists join the team
- We are looking for people to start as soon as possible
