Master Data Administrator - Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a Master Data Administrator to join our Nuneaton-based Data Team on a Fixed Term Contract. The role is based at our Nuneaton factory on a hybrid basis (3 days on-site).

The Person

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a passion for data accuracy. They’ll be comfortable working with multiple systems, managing competing priorities, and building strong relationships across the business. They’ll enjoy problem-solving and take pride in getting things right first time.

The Role

From supporting new product launches and product changes to maintaining core business data across multiple systems, we play a key role in ensuring the business has accurate, reliable data to support day-to-day operations which deliver products to our customers successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute weekly Master Data reports and provide routine data extracts to support business decision-making and operational activities.
  • Responsible for item Master set up are accurately captured and maintained within the ERP system. Plus, manage and govern all data requirements as part of the New Product Development (NPD) & Existing Product Development (EPD) process.
  • Process and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) updates for both NPD & EPD projects, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with Master Data standards.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure NPD /EPD products are completed accurately, on time to ensure Master Data requirements are delivered accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Analyse, validate and maintain Master Data within ERP system and Power BI reports.
  • Perform routine data cleansing activities to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of Master Data across all systems.
  • Monitor and manage the Master Data shared inbox and ticketing system, ensuring queries, requests, and issues are responded to and resolved within agreed service levels.

Requirements

  • Experience with Working with Master Data (BOMS, Item Master)
  • Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Efficient prioritisation and multi-tasking Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail (essential)
  • Experience with using ERP system, Access an advantage but not essential
  • Experience with using reporting software (Power BI)
  • Organised and able to work to deadlines
  • Experience using SQL
  • Had at least 2 years experience within a similar role (FMCG / Manufacturing experience Desirable)
