PE Global are currently recruiting for a Master Data Specialist for a 12-month contract role with a leading multinational pharma client based in Bathgate, Scotland.
The Master Data Specialist I, is responsible for independently executing established Master Data Management processes in a GMP environment. This role focuses on maintaining data accuracy, adhering to established data standards and SOPs, and completing routine master data requests across supported systems. The Specialist I is expected to perform established master data activities while escalating situations that fall outside established procedures, documentation requirements, or personal experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete required ComplianceWire and role-based training and maintain training currency.
- Generate and approve standard Item Masters, Item Branches, and Item Revisions within JD Edwards under established procedures, escalating non-routine scenarios as appropriate.
- Generate and approve Location Masters and Location Master Revisions within JD Edwards under established procedures.
- Generate and approve Client Codes and Study Codes within Prisym under established procedures.
- Generate and approve Customer and Equipment Setup within Global SupplyFlex under established procedures.
- Raise required Change Controls in Global TrackWise to support approved data revisions under established procedures.
- Perform assigned master data activities with attention to accuracy, completeness, and required turnaround times.
- Analyze and interpret our documentation to determine correct data setup, escalating uncertainty or gaps to appropriate resources.
- Apply established data standards, guidelines, and SOPs in a GMP setting.
- Identify when additional clarification is needed and escalate to an MDS II, Senior MDS, or Supervisor as appropriate.
- Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing activities, and item or project setup discussions to maintain role competency and understand how prioritization decisions are made.
- Support the department in maintaining service level agreements by completing assigned work accurately and communicating barriers promptly.

Requirements
- Education or equivalent: BS in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent professional experience.
- APICS certification preferred.
- Experience: 0-3 years of relevant clinical supply, master data, project support, pharmaceutical, biotech, or equivalent business experience preferred.
- Skills: Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills appropriate for a business environment. Detail-oriented and organized with a strong emphasis on data integrity, quality, and compliance. Ability to prioritize multiple requests and remain focused in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deliverables. Computer literate, with experience using spreadsheets, word processing programs, and business system tools.
- Preferred knowledge: Working knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical supply, or project management environments. Ability to work effectively in team environments and under short timelines.
