About the Role

Tower Transit Group is an international public transport operator providing bus services in Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the Channel Islands, with a strong focus on safety, people, and service quality.

In the UK and Jersey, Tower Transit runs extensive bus networks, including the LibertyBus brand, which earned Small/Medium Bus Operator of the Year at the 2024 Route One Awards. Across the Group, Tower Transit is advancing sustainable transport through depot electrification, electric buses, and hydrogen bus operations, and is part of Kelsian Group, a leading global operator of bus, motorcoach, and marine services.

The Master Technician role is a full-time, position supporting Huyton and Wirral depots, responsible for providing advanced technical support and guidance for Tower Transit Group’s bus fleets and related systems. The Master Technician will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, support maintenance teams with troubleshooting, and develop best-practice repair procedures for conventional, electric, and alternative-fuel buses. This role will review technical data, maintenance reports, and telematics information to identify recurring faults and recommend preventive maintenance actions. The Master Technician will collaborate with operations, safety, and engineering teams to ensure fleet reliability, compliance with safety standards, and effective implementation of new technologies. In addition, the role includes creating technical documentation, mentoring technicians remotely, supporting training initiatives, and liaising with vendors and manufacturers on technical matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
