Master Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Master Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle dealership, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair solutions.

As a Master Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will provide advanced vehicle diagnostics, carry out complex repairs, and support the wider workshop by sharing your technical expertise while ensuring work is completed to the highest possible standard.

This full-time permanent role offers a salary of GBP 47,000 and benefits.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Diagnosing and repairing commercial vehicles in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Completing complex fault-finding and ensuring repairs are resolved correctly at the first opportunity.
  • Maintaining workshop diagnostic equipment and ensuring systems remain up to date.
  • Preparing workshop documentation to meet warranty and manufacturer standards.
  • Promoting outstanding repair quality across the workshop.
  • Supporting and mentoring technicians and apprentices to develop their technical abilities.
  • Identifying areas where additional training or technical support would benefit the team.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previously worked as a Master Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Manufacturer-accredited Master Technician from any manufacturer (proof of qualification)
  • Experience of working on commercial vehicles.
  • Qualified Level 2 or level 3 Technician
  • Understanding of the truck and VAN industry.

Shift

  • 40-hour working week (Monday to Friday)
  • 1 in 3 Saturday morning rota (paid at 1.5x rate, worth an additional GBP 2,452 per year)
  • Overtime available
  • Weekend and out-of-hours work paid at 1.5x rate
