About Us

We’re HFE, an award-winning training provider specialising in qualifications for the active leisure sector.

We deliver a wide range of health, fitness and wellbeing programmes across the UK, with our Pilates teacher training programmes recognised for setting a particularly high standard in both matwork and reformer Pilates education.

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences, maintaining high professional standards and continually looking for ways to do things better.

That’s why we’re looking for people who share the same mindset. If you’re passionate about Pilates, take pride in your teaching and are committed to delivering excellence, we want to hear from you.

Our Vision

We believe in people and their potential. Our mission is to create a learning environment where our Pilates students can deepen their knowledge, develop their skills, and become the best Pilates teachers that they can be.

We live and breathe the philosophy that ‘excellence isn’t an outcome – it’s a habit’. That’s why we’re constantly striving to improve our Pilates teacher training programmes, pushing beyond “the status quo” to deliver a truly world-class training and assessment experience for our students.

While our Pilates programmes lead to fully regulated and internationally recognised qualifications, our focus is on helping each and every one of our students to grow personally and professionally. The goal of our programmes isn’t just to get the qualification, it’s to become more in the process.

The Role

Our mat and reformer Pilates tutors and assessors are among the best in the industry. Joining the team means sharing their commitment to exceptional teaching, technical accuracy and high standards.

You’ll deliver our mat and reformer Pilates courses in line with our timetables and programme structure, while bringing your own expertise and personality to create engaging, interactive learning experiences. We’re looking for tutors who are organised, reliable and technically strong, but above all, passionate about helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and teaching skills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll be supported by our experienced senior tutor team, with hands-on guidance to help you deliver both theory and practical sessions effectively and get the very best from your students.

This is an opportunity for professional Pilates teachers looking to make a meaningful, long-term contribution. If you’re only looking for occasional work, this probably isn’t the role for you.

Hours and Pay

A typical reformer training course will be delivered over 4 days (two weekends) and the course will run between 12:00-20:00, although it is important to stress that some venues the hours are slightly later due to studio access. A full day of training is 8 hours, which is inclusive of two short comfort breaks (15 mins), and a slightly longer meal break (30 mins).

Mat Pilates courses are usually delivered between 09:00-17:00, over 6 days (three weekends).

The current rate of pay for our reformer teacher training programmes is £200.00 per day.

We also have a number of our tutors who get involved with other training programmes and/or development projects and the rates of pay according to these vary. Suffice to say there is plenty of opportunity for skilled and competent tutors to secure a regular pattern of interesting and rewarding work.

Qualifications

On application, you must be able to demonstrate that you have extensive qualifications and experience with teaching Pilates, both matwork and reformer. As a minimum, you should have:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates (or equivalent)
  • A recognised reformer Pilates teacher certificate
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g. Award/Certificate/Diploma in Education and Training, PTLLS, DTLLS, CTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE)*
  • A relevant vocational assessing qualification (e.g. D32/33, A1/A2, CAVA, AVRA)*

Working with HFE

To join the HFE team, you’ll need to commit to working exclusively with us in a commercial training capacity. We don’t engage Pilates tutors who also work for competing commercial training providers.

We’re happy to consider applications from professionals working with fitness operators or educational organisations that don’t directly compete with HFE, such as colleges and universities.

In return, you’ll benefit from a regular pattern of work, unlimited training opportunities, collaboration with experienced Pilates professionals, and the opportunity to help shape the next generation of mat and Reformer Pilates teachers.
