Job Title: Matchday Logistics & Equipment Room Supervisor
Department: Match Day Safety
Contract: Casual/Sessional – Match Days with the potential for some non-match day work.
Hours of Work: Approximately 9 hours per Match Day
Location: Stamford Bridge, London

Job Function:
Chelsea Football Club is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to support our Match Day Safety Department in managing and overseeing the issue, return, and maintenance of operational safety equipment. You will be one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave on a match day. This critical role ensures the seamless distribution and accountability of essential safety equipment, helping to support a secure and professional match day operation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise the controlled issue and return of radios, mobile phones, body-worn cameras and related accessories.
- Coordinate the setup and breakdown of equipment storage and issue points on match days.
- Liaise with match day safety personnel to meet equipment needs efficiently and promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment distribution, condition and usage.
- Ensure all equipment is fully charged, functional and ready for deployment.
- Monitor the inventory of all safety-related equipment, reporting loss, damage or faults.
- Handle sensitive and high-value equipment with integrity and discretion.
- Ensure compliance with club policies and data protection guidelines regarding body-worn video use.
- Maintain a secure storage environment for equipment when not in use.
- To support Chelsea FC with the delivery of safe events, offering high quality service to all persons present.
- To ensure at all times the Stewards code of conduct is adhered to.
- To follow safeguarding policies and procedures as outlined by Chelsea FC and report any safeguarding/welfare incidents that may take place during, before and after an event.
- To communicate your availability efficiently & effectively with Chelsea FC and assist in all activities as requested by the Match Day Safety Team. Attend in-service training sessions when required and maintain the Chelsea FC fit for purpose criteria in adherence with the terms and conditions of the Sessional Worker Engagement Agreement.
- Be fully conversant with any methods or signals used to alert staff that an Emergency has arisen and comply promptly with any instruction given in an emergency by your Chief Steward, Assistant Safety Officer, Safety Officer or a Police Officer.
- Assist in accordance with the Club’s Contingency Plans during any emergency incidents, pitch incursion/invasion, and evacuation of the stadium.
- Report to your Supervisor, the Chief Steward, the Assistant Safety Officer or the Safety Officer any damage which is likely to pose a threat to Spectator safety e.g. structural defects.
- Develop an excellent knowledge of the geographical layout of the Stadium in which you are employed, in particular its entry and exit routes and to know the emergency evacuation messages as relevant to all areas of the Stadium.

Person Specification:
All candidates must:
- Be available to work weekends and evenings and commit to working 80% of events at Stamford Bridge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
- Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Spectator Safety.
- Proven experience in a logistics, equipment management or security operations role.
- High level of trustworthiness, reliability and integrity.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skill.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced match day environment.
- This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a stadium, event or safety/security environment.
- Knowledge of two-way radio systems and/or body worn video technology.
