Contract Length: 6 months Rolling Contract

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is proud to be partnering with a dynamic and innovative organization at the forefront of transport and Rail Technology. We are currently recruiting for a Material Demand Planner to join their world-class team.
About the Role:
In this critical role, you will Provide Material Demand Planning for the business, compile all necessary information to ensure accuracy of the systems. This role is accountable for providing Materials Demand Planning for all materials in all fleets, BSC and any future projects.
- Works with the Material Planning team to achieve the objectives required by the business for all projects.
- Develop relationships across teams, supporting and ensuring appropriate communication flow is maintained, accurate and timely.
- Stakeholder engagement, management and demand itemisation is documented in published reports to support accurate forecasting and planning.
- Understanding Inventory Management systems and processes across the business to support efficient materials inflow strategies.
- Support transition towards automation of backend planning and ordering processing to ensure optimal performance for the forecasting system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work across teams to understand Inventory Management systems and processes used by the business areas.
- Develop and maintain all processes in relation to Forecasting and demand planning, including system use.
- Continuous development of cross functional and departmental processes in relation to material demand planning.
- Plan and schedule all materials using Siemens systems to minimise inventory and ensure a controlled release of material to maintain production scheduled activities and asset overhaul needs.
- Liaise with respective operational contacts, project managers, overhaul managers, forecasting and materials control teams to ensure all materials required are scheduled to the respective plans, highlight any risks of delivery and propose any changes as required.
- Responsible for validation and recording of materials delivery plans and associated purchase requests.
- Responsible for ensuring necessary escalation, root cause analysis and resolution processes are in place and supported by the full engagement of all key stakeholder(s).
- Gather data from a variety of sources. Assess, interpret, and analyse the production demand signal in development of a thorough, accurate, and supportable material demand forecast. Analytic skills must include the ability to see the big picture and the demonstration of strong business intuition in support of the inflow strategies and communication to key stakeholders.
- Supports co-ordination and control of the materials planning functions from a forecast and demand planning aspect throughout the value chain, including fleets, BSC, Materials Planning and SIOP team.

Key Skills / Experience Required:
Essential:
- High level of data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Previous detailed experience of driving IBP / SIOP programs.
- A team player.
- Self-motivated.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Ability to communicate and confidently present at various levels.
- IT literate with excellent numeracy skills.
- Capable in the use of MS Office Suite, or Equivalent systems.
- Good business and commercial awareness.
- Work in a safe manner, taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other people at work, following appropriate Health and Safety guidance, training and company rules and procedures as appropriate.
- Experience within Data Analysis
- Knowledge of evaluating and setting service levels in a forecasting system
