Material Handler (Forklift)
Positions Available: 2 permanent roles
Swindon SuperHub | Onsite: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday – Friday, 40 hours.
Salary: up to £27,401.00 per annum (depending on experience) + £500.00 per annum MHE Allowance

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To support the safe, accurate, and efficient movement, storage, picking, packing, receiving, and dispatch of products throughout the Distribution Centre. The role is responsible for ensuring customer orders are processed correctly, inventory is maintained accurately, and material handling equipment is operated safely and effectively to support business requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out warehouse activities across receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory processes in line with operational standards.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Complete stock movements, inventory transactions and order processing activities using warehouse systems and RF equipment.
- Operate authorised material handling equipment safely and in accordance with training, certification requirements and company procedures.
- Support loading, unloading, storage and movement of goods to maintain operational flow and inventory accuracy.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including stock investigations, cycle counts and variance resolution.
- Support returns, refusals and other corrective actions in line with operational processes and customer requirements.
- Communicate operational, inventory, equipment and safety issues promptly to Team Leaders and Supervisors.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health & safety and compliance across all warehouse activities.
- Support the training and onboarding of colleagues where required and contribute positively to team performance.
- Work flexibly across warehouse functions and undertake reasonable additional duties in line with business needs.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required
- Valid forklift truck and/or material handling equipment certification relevant to operational requirements.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
- Basic computer literacy and confidence using RF scanning devices and warehouse systems.
- Understanding of warehouse picking, stock control, and inventory handling processes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to shared operational goals.
- Able to carry out verbal and written instructions and perform basic numeracy tasks required for day-to-day operations

Preferred
- SAP warehouse systems experience.
- Experience operating multiple types of material handling equipment.
