DESCRIPTION
Position Objective:
Working in a team based environment to perform material handling duties within a busy warehouse. Duties include picking and packing customer orders to meet tight deadlines ensuring orders are shipped right first time and on time.

Essential Functions:
- Adhere to SOPs and GMP Compliance: Perform warehouse duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Embrace Continuous Improvement: Fully engage with our Practical Improvement Program (PPI) and 5S methodologies.
- Operate Warehouse Equipment: Safely operate essential equipment, such as Counterbalance and Reach trucks (valid licenses required).
- Utilise PC Skills: Use in-house software packages for daily picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
- Maintain Regulatory Records: Keep accurate records to comply with regulatory requirements, GMPs, and SOPs.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain mechanical equipment efficiently.
- In-Process Checks: Perform necessary in-process checks to ensure quality and compliance.
- Safety and Efficiency: Carry out all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Housekeeping Standards: Ensure that housekeeping standards are consistently met.
- Adaptability: Be supportive and adaptive to any changes in processes or procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Secondary school education.
Preferred:
- Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts)
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field
- Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers/forklifts)
- Computer literate
- Good written and spoken English
- Attention to detail and accuracy are vital
Contacts:
- Has contact with other team members, staff of other departments and direct supervisor.
Working Conditions:
- Cold room (+4 degC) and freezer (-20degC) for extended periods.
- Perform work of a highly repetitive nature. Will walk, stand, reach and lift up to 25KG.
