Material Resource Planning Controller

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Material Resource Planning Controller on a 6 months rolling Contract, located in Warwick.

What You'll Do

Join an Aero Derivative Gas Turbine business and make sure the right parts reach our production line at the right time. You'll build and manage delivery plans for supplier part orders and tell the Supply Chain Management Team whether we can meet customer and business requirements.

  • Assess demand changes and advise the Regional Purchase Manager on whether customer requirements can be met (Commitment Acceptance / S&OP)
  • Maintain planning master data in SAP so demand cascades correctly through the supply chain
  • Manage stock levels across the supply chain
  • Keep supplier delivery commitments up to date in SAP, and act on exception messages and schedule line changes
  • Lead operational relationships and business reviews with suppliers, covering quality, cost, delivery and capacity
  • Manage shortages and recovery plans, and escalate risks early
  • Introduce new parts using the Supply Chain pro-forma and company processes

Skills And Experience Required

  • Experience in production planning and control within engineering, manufacturing, purchasing or logistics
  • Solid working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system (MRP runs, exception messages, schedule lines)
  • Understanding of inventory control and quality system requirements
  • Proven supplier-facing experience, with the confidence to challenge delivery slippage
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a proactive, robust approach
  • Ownership of your own development, and a customer-focused attitude toward internal partners
