Job Title: Material Resource Planning Controller (MRPC - Buy)

Location: Warwick

Contract length: 6 months (long-term potential)

Work Structure: Hybrid (2 days in the office)


Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Material Resource Planning Controller to join a world leader offering products, solutions, and services across the entire energy value chain on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organization to play a key role in supporting Manufacturing Operations. You will shape a competitive, sustainable supply chain, partnering globally to drive productivity, quality, and digitalization.

Key Duties:

  • Adjust component planning in response to demand changes and report customer impact to the Regional Purchase Manager.
  • Maintain master and dynamic planning data in SAP to ensure accurate demand flow across the supply chain.
  • Plan and manage stock levels across the supply chain to ensure materials are used in the correct order and timeframe.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for suppliers on planning, inventory control, delivery, and lead times.
  • Track supplier delivery commitments in SAP, answer inquiries, and resolve schedule line exception messages.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new parts into the supply chain using standard pro-forma processes.
  • Lead regular business reviews with suppliers to assess performance across Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
  • Evaluate supplier load and capacity constraints to identify potential delivery risks early.
  • Manage delivery issues, track material shortages, and establish recovery plans to meet production schedules.

Essential Requirements:

  • Hands-on working experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or Logistics.
  • Proven understanding of production planning and controls.
  • Solid working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, IT systems, and quality system requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as the primary interface with suppliers and manage operational relationships.
  • Experience managing delivery commitments, tracking schedule lines, and resolving exception messages in ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with a robust, clear approach when dealing with internal partners and customers.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage delivery issues, material shortages, and recovery plans.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and taking ownership of personal professional development.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading formal business reviews with suppliers to analyze metrics across Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
  • Experience evaluating supplier load and capacity constraints to proactively prevent supply chain disruptions.
  • Background in coordinating supplier improvement activities regarding inventory control, lead times, and subcontracting.
  • Familiarity with formal Commitment Acceptance and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Practical experience managing new part introductions using standard supply chain pro-forma documentation.
  • Direct experience handling SAP exception messages and managing dynamic component planning data.
  • Background working specifically within Aero Derivative Gas Turbines, industrial machinery, or energy sector manufacturing.
  • Experience operating within the Gas Services or Distributed Energy business units.
