Salary: £40,000.00 per annum plus a 15% annual bonus and Veolia benefits Hours: 40 hours per week, Hybrid role with travel across the UK Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands, WV14 8XR

Key Responsibilities
You’ll be undertaking the following core responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a high-quality sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and prioritisation to support growth and meet operational requirements.
- Source and onboard new material suppliers to fulfil site needs, ensuring meeting quality, availability, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including:
- RFQs and tenders
- Supplier evaluation
- Pricing comparisons
- Delivery/collection scheduling
- Negotiate commercial terms while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Coordinate logistics and transport, including booking collections/deliveries and managing hauliers.
- Manage interactions with multiple stakeholders (operations, planning, finance, sales, and suppliers) by aligning priorities and facilitating timely decision-making.
- Track and report on procurement performance, while monitoring market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements
We’re seeking candidates who can demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience in sales and business development within the recycling industry, with evidence of delivering sustainable growth and securing new business.
- A valid UK driving license (mandatory).
- Strong leadership and people-management skills, including experience:
- Coaching and supporting sales teams to meet targets
- Developing individual capability
- Strong commercial judgment, including skills in:
- Pricing models
- Negotiation
- Improving profitability against set targets
- Preferred qualifications include:
- 2+ A Levels or equivalent qualifications in a related field
- Relevant certifications or training in:
- Sales
- Leadership
- Supply chain management
- Working knowledge of G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and the ability to:
- Analyse data effectively
- Drives reporting, performance tracking, and opportunity analysis
