Materials Applications Scientist
Apply your scientific expertise to technology that’s changing how we store and use energy.
At Sunamp, we’re advancing thermal energy storage through innovative Phase Change Materials (PCMs). We’re looking for a Materials Applications Scientist to help us develop, test, and improve the materials at the heart of our technology.
This is a hands-on scientific role where your experimental work will have a direct impact on product performance, quality, and development.
What you’ll be working on:
- Designing and conducting laboratory experiments to investigate material compatibility and performance.
- Applying analytical chemistry techniques to develop robust testing and quality control methods.
- Generating and interpreting experimental data to inform technical decisions.
- Supporting the development and scale-up of PCM manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating with Materials, Operations, and wider teams to solve technical challenges.

What you’ll bring:
- A degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- At least three years’ relevant scientific or materials development experience.
- Strong laboratory testing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to turn complex experimental findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience in electrochemistry, corrosion science, metallurgy, or manufacturing quality control would be particularly valuable.
