Job Description:
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the storage, coordination, and supply of all materials to the machine build team in our manufacturing facility. You will work as part of a team to coordinate materials in a safe and efficient manner ensuring flow to production.
The Role:
- Co-developing a strategic layout for parts storage, ensuring safe and accessible storage of all materials for machine build
- Efficient and timely handling of all materials
- Communicating and coordinating parts movement with the Forklift Driver
- Working with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of parts
- Checking goods inwards to ensure all required parts for build kits are present and coordinating with the quality team to ensure they are meeting specification required
- Ordering missing or damaged parts
- Communicating to the Machine Build Supervisor about parts availability, timeframes on delivery of parts, and any shortages already identified
- Managing and coordinating the Return to Stores (RTS) and Reject processes
- Ensuring compliance with inventory control measures i.e. Receipting of goods inwards on relevant systems
- Escalation of key issues to Supervisor or Managers as required
- Compliance with internal environmental and waste management procedures
- Following Standard Work procedures
- General Housekeeping Duties ensuring yard and work areas are kept to 5s standard
- Use of FLT and PIT where required

The Person:
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Experience in similar role or with material movement
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative with little supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Current fork-lift/combi-lift license
- Knowledge of inventory control would be advantageous.
- A logical and methodical approach to problem solving along with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner to meet targets.
- IT literacy and experience of MRP style system would be beneficial
