£20.10 per hour via Umbrella + overtime rates
Stevenage – 100% on-site | 37 hours per week
Initial 6-month contract | BPSS clearance required

ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Our client is a global aerospace and defence organisation delivering complex programmes where accurate material control, logistics and stock management are critical to successful production and delivery. Due to ongoing programme requirements, they are looking for an experienced Logistics / Materials & Stock Controller to join their Central Logistics team in Stevenage.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate compilation, control and delivery of kits, consumables and raw materials to production, assembly, integration and test areas.
You’ll manage inventory, monitor material demand and supply shipments, support interplant logistics and ensure parts are expedited to meet production schedules. The role will also involve stock rationalisation, cycle counting, shelf-life control and the handling of hazardous, high-value and sensitive equipment.
LOGISTICS / MATERIALS & STOCK CONTROLLER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Experience in materials handling, logistics or stock/inventory control
- Experience using SAP for inventory or stock control
- Experience working in a Class 100 cleanroom
- Experience with kit compilation and material distribution
- Experience handling flight, sensitive or high-value equipment
- Good IT literacy and numeracy
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong team-working skills
