Job Summary

Working as the Materials Controller you will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager and the Operations Leader. You will be responsible for the Goods in department within Transvac Systems Ltd. This will involve booking deliveries on to our database, dimensionally checking received materials, checking material certifications, ordering consumables and tooling, and offloading deliveries with a forklift truck. There will be some Inventory management such as stock taking and assisting with stock checks and picking of stock.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for goods inwards/outwards, signing and booking of collections and deliveries
  • Stock control and stock take
  • Assist the Purchasing manager with the purchasing of consumables and materials
  • Manage and maintain the material certification process
  • Allocate materials to jobs and ensure that materials are suitably segregated
  • Forklift Truck loading and unloading

Basic Qualifications

  • FLT Licence preferred although training can be given
  • Computer Literate, i.e., MS Office (Sage, SAP, MRP systems experience preferred but not essential as training will be given)
  • English speaking
  • Full Driving Licence (in case of ad-hoc local deliveries or collections)

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

  • Fully site based (Flexitime, 39.5hrs per week)
  • Monday – Friday (Flexitime Hours to be worked between 7am – 6pm)
  • Ideal working hours to be worked between 7am – 4:30pm due to typical delivery and collection times although flexitime is permitted
  • 12 months fixed contract (possibly extending to 18 months)
