Logistics Operations & Stock Controller - Stevenage, UK
Contract Length: 6 Months (Possible Extension) | IR35: Inside IR35
We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Flight Materials & Stock Controller to join our client's logistics operation in Stevenage!
Overview
The Logistics Flight Materials & Stock Controller will play a key role in ensuring materials, consumables, and equipment are accurately managed and delivered to support production and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Compiling and delivering kits, consumables, and raw materials to production, assembly, integration, and test areas.
- Maintaining visibility and control of kits throughout storage and distribution activities.
- Managing hazardous, high-value, and sensitive equipment.
- Performing regular cycle counts.
- Contributing to daily kit status reporting.
- Supporting 5S activities.
- Coordinating interplant material shipments.
- Assisting with dispatch activities including dangerous goods documentation, customs paperwork, and transport bookings.
- Supporting wider logistics teams when required.

Requirements
Essential
- GCSE standard in Maths.
- Experience in inventory management and stock control.
- SAP or similar experience.
- IT literate with good knowledge of GSuite or similar business systems.
- Experience working within a Class 100 clean room environment.
- Experience handling flight, hazardous, sensitive, or high-value equipment.
- Experience with kit compilation and logistics operations.

Desirable
- Materials handling and advanced stock control experience.
- Experience within aerospace or defence environments.
- ERP system experience beyond SAP.
Benefits
- £20.10 per hour Umbrella or £15.25 per hour PAYE.
- 37-hour working week.
- Potential contract extension.
- Overtime premiums of 25% midweek and 50% weekends.
