We're partnering with a high-profile luxury interior design studio in the search for a Materials Librarian to join its London team on a part-time or freelance basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for materials, finishes, suppliers and the wider design industry to play an important role within a highly creative studio. The practice places exceptional emphasis on materiality, craftsmanship and attention to detail, working with an international network of specialist suppliers and craftspeople.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of the studio's materials library, ensuring it remains organised, current, inspiring and accessible to the wider design team.
Beyond the day-to-day management of the library, you'll build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while proactively developing new ones. You'll stay close to the supplier market, identifying new products, materials, finishes and emerging makers that could add value to the studio's work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
