Materials Planner - Rotherham - £40,000 - £45,000 + Excellent Benefits

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a leading global manufacturer in Rotherham as they look to recruit a Materials Planner to join their team.

This key role will ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials across the business, taking ownership of forecasting, purchasing and supplier management, while helping to shape stock control and procurement processes through continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting raw material requirements based on production schedules, customer demand and stock levels for both UK and US sites
  • Raising and managing purchase orders, monitoring open orders and expediting deliveries where needed
  • Planning and scheduling deliveries, and maintaining safety stock levels
  • Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers on orders, deliveries and supply issues
  • Producing inventory, supplier performance and purchasing reports, including month-end reporting
  • Working closely with Operations, Planning, Warehouse, Technical, Quality and Finance teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement, Kaizen and cost reduction initiatives

Previous Experience:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a raw materials supply chain, purchasing or planning role
  • A background in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
