You'll test concrete, soils, aggregates and asphalt on construction sites across London and the surrounding areas, as well as in our laboratory.

We value attitude over experience. If you're reliable, willing to learn and keen to develop new skills, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to carry out construction materials testing both on-site and in our laboratory through our structured training programme.
  • Carry out testing on concrete, soils, aggregates and other construction materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Travel to construction sites across London and the surrounding areas to carry out testing when required. Travelling to sites further afield may sometimes be required.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients and represent Amtest UK professionally on-site.
  • Carry out routine equipment checks and ensure testing equipment is maintained and ready for use.
  • Record test results accurately using company systems and documentation.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised working environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver accurate and reliable testing services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
