Role Description
This full-time, on-site maternity cover teacher role is based at MITTON MANOR PRIMARY ACADEMY in Tewkesbury. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, adapting teaching to meet diverse learning needs. Daily responsibilities include:

- Assessing pupil progress
- Providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining clear records
- Collaborating with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
The teacher will manage classroom behavior positively, create a safe and nurturing learning environment, and communicate effectively with parents and carers about pupil development. Additional duties may include:
- Attending staff meetings
- Contributing to school events
- Participating in professional development activities
Qualifications
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent) and experience teaching primary-aged pupils.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with pupils, colleagues, parents, and carers.
- Ability to assess learning, use data to inform planning, and differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
- Commitment to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and promoting a positive school ethos.
- Organizational and time-management skills to balance planning, teaching, marking, and wider school responsibilities.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Experience in UK primary education and familiarity with the national curriculum are highly beneficial.
