About the Opportunity
This opportunity is for experienced Mathematics Experts with a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field to contribute to advanced AI research and evaluation projects. You'll apply your mathematical expertise to solve, review, and explain complex problems across undergraduate and graduate-level mathematics while helping improve the reasoning and performance of next-generation AI systems.
No prior AI experience is required. Your mathematical knowledge, research experience, and analytical reasoning skills are the primary qualifications for success in this role. Professionals with strong backgrounds in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, calculus, proofs, and advanced mathematical problem-solving are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive, accurate, and insightful solutions to advanced mathematics problems spanning undergraduate and graduate-level curricula.
- Create and refine golden responses that demonstrate subject matter expertise and serve as high-quality training examples for AI systems.
- Analyze complex mathematical problems, proofs, and theoretical concepts with precision and rigor.
- Translate advanced mathematical reasoning into clear, structured, and educational explanations.
- Review and evaluate AI-generated mathematical content for correctness, clarity, and logical consistency.
- Provide expert feedback to improve response quality, evaluation standards, and project workflows.
- Collaborate with distributed teams of subject matter experts to maintain high academic and technical standards.
- Ensure all deliverables meet project requirements for quality, formatting, and timeliness.

Required Qualifications
- PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Strong expertise in calculus, mathematical analysis, algebra, probability, statistics, differential equations, or other advanced mathematical fields.
- Exceptional analytical reasoning and mathematical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience developing, reviewing, or teaching advanced mathematical content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to mathematical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience authoring or reviewing textbooks, academic papers, exams, research publications, or advanced problem sets.
- Expertise in both pure and applied mathematics.
- Research experience in advanced mathematical disciplines.
- Experience teaching or mentoring undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral-level students.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, mathematical data annotation, or AI model evaluation.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary or distributed academic teams.
- Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback and participate in collaborative review processes.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation of $80–$90/hour.
