Role Description
The Mathematics Teacher will provide high-quality, in-person tutoring and teaching support to school-age learners in the London Area, United Kingdom. This contract role involves:
- Planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons aligned with relevant curricula and exam requirements, including GCSE, A Level, IB, and entrance assessments.
- Assessing student needs.
- Designing targeted lesson plans.
- Explaining mathematical concepts clearly.
- Using varied teaching strategies to build confidence and independent problem-solving skills.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Maintaining regular communication with families.
- Providing progress updates.
- Collaborating with the wider Love Learning Tutors team to ensure a supportive and effective learning experience.
This is an on-site role, requiring reliable presence at agreed teaching locations within the London area.

Qualifications
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to teach across key stages and exam boards.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher or equivalent teaching qualification, with a track record of effective classroom or tutoring practice.
- Proven ability to explain complex concepts clearly, differentiate instruction, and support diverse learners, including high performers and students needing confidence-building.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience preparing learners for exams such as GCSE, A Level, IB, IGCSE, or selective school entrance assessments is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices.
