Are you a mathematics teacher looking to commit long-term to a school?
Are you a mathematics teacher looking to be valued?
Academics are seeking enthusiastic and reliable mathematics teachers to undertake long-term roles from September 2026. At Academics, we understand that not every school is the right fit and you may be looking for a new opportunity. We are aware it can be scary taking the leap, but feeling valued should be the main priority. Alternatively, this role would be ideal for a mathematics teacher who has just finished a long-term role. Academics are an agency, and although these roles are temporary, they often lead into permanent contracts. These roles are situated in Torfaen, and they are until July 2027. In these roles, you will be expected to teach pupils basic and complex mathematic concepts like arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
