Job Title: Mathematics Teacher
Location: Pattison School, Coventry
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start Date: October 2026

About The Role
You will:
- Take responsibility for the planning, delivery and development of mathematics across the senior school.
- Secure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment in line with school policies and procedures.
- As the lead specialist teacher of mathematics, the postholder will work closely with senior leaders to drive standards, monitor progress and contribute to the school's wider improvement strategy.
- Help create a calm, safe, and structured environment that promotes confidence, independence, and learning.

What You'll Bring
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong subject knowledge and high-quality classroom practice
- Has confidence to lead a subject area independently and take ownership of curriculum and outcomes
- Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Has strong assessment, tracking and organisational skills
- Has effective communication skills with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Is able to reflect on practice and implement positive change
- Has experience of teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Has experience of preparing pupils for GCSE Mathematics
- Has evidence of securing good pupil progress and examination outcome
- Has a good honours degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
- Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
