Experior Asia is supporting a leading international school in Hong Kong with the appointment of an experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher for a fixed-term maternity cover position.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mathematics educator to join a well-established international school, teaching motivated students within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics teaching at secondary level, supporting students' academic progress and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and appropriately challenging Mathematics lessons.
- Teaching Mathematics across relevant secondary year groups.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback.
- Differentiating teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Maintaining high expectations for learning, participation and behaviour.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.
- Communicating effectively with students, colleagues and parents.
- Contributing positively to the professional and pastoral life of the school.

This is a full-time maternity cover position commencing in February 2027 and running until approximately June 2027.
The position would particularly suit an experienced Mathematics teacher seeking a high-quality short-term international school appointment in Hong Kong, while also providing an opportunity to build relationships and demonstrate their capabilities within the school.

Requirements
Applicants should ideally have:
- A recognised degree in Mathematics, Education or a closely related subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, QTS or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience within an international or British-curriculum school would be advantageous.
- Hong Kong teacher registration, or eligibility for registration, would be beneficial.
- The ability to work legally in Hong Kong for the duration of the appointment is highly desirable.
