ABOUT THE COMPANY
Team4Rec is recruiting on behalf of a our client, a UK online tutoring provider working with secondary school pupils from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE and A-level. The client is named at first-stage screening.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Online Maths Tutor delivers scheduled one-to-one and small-group sessions over the client's video platform, plans each session against the pupil's exam board and target grade, and records progress notes after every lesson.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver online maths sessions to KS3, GCSE and A-level pupils.
- Plan sessions against the relevant exam board specification (AQA, Edexcel, OCR).
- Set and mark short homework tasks between sessions.
- Record attendance and progress notes in the client's tutoring system after each session.
- Communicate with parents and the programme team on pupil progress.
- Flag safeguarding concerns immediately through the client's reporting route.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Maths, a Maths-heavy discipline, or a teaching qualification with Maths as a specialism.
- Prior tutoring, teaching or classroom support experience.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A quiet workspace, reliable internet and a webcam.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Clear spoken English and a patient, structured teaching manner.
- Confidence using video platforms and a digital whiteboard.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. The client processes the application.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- QTS or a PGCE.
- Experience with exam-focused revision programmes.
- Experience tutoring pupils with SEND.
PAY RANGE AND COMPENSATION PACKAGE
£18 to £25 per hour depending on qualification and experience (comparison figure £35,100 to £48,750 per annum at 37.5 hours; actual hours are variable and term-time weighted).
