Role Description
This part-time Maths Instructor role is an on-site position based in Newton Mearns. The instructor will deliver maths instruction to students in small groups, using Mathnasium’s teaching methods and learning materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role also involves maintaining a positive learning environment, supporting centre operations during instructional hours, and collaborating with the team to ensure high-quality student experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in mathematics and experience applying mathematical concepts in an instructional or tutoring setting.
- Skills in lesson planning and curriculum development, with the ability to adapt materials to different ages and ability levels.
- Background in mathematics education or related field; status as a qualified teacher or comparable teaching/tutoring experience is highly beneficial.
- Clear, patient communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work onsite in Newton Mearns during after-school and/or weekend hours as required.
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is an advantage.
