Secondary Maths Teacher : Near Market Harborough and Surrounding Areas

Long:Term Opportunities: If you prefer building ongoing relationships with departments and students, we offer fixed:term subject placements spanning a term or a full academic year. This allows you to teach your core subject, contribute to curriculum development, and embed yourself fully within a school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, structured Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, maintaining high expectations for learning, numerical fluency, and pupil progress.
  • Create a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Adapt learning delivery to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Leave clear handover notes for regular class teachers when fulfilling day:to:day cover assignments.
  • For long:term roles: plan, assess, and mark work, participate in department meetings, and contribute to parents evenings as required.

What We Look For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (or recognised UK teaching qualification).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the confidence to step into unfamiliar secondary settings with ease.
  • Specialist subject knowledge in Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • An adaptable, punctual, and professional approach with excellent communication skills.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
