Maths Teacher (QTS)

Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-Time (5 days a week): Fixed-Term Contract until Christmas 2026

Salary: GBP150 - GBP260 per day (Pay to scale)

Requirements: Mandatory QTS and Full Right to Work in the UK

Are you a dedicated Maths Teacher with valid UK Right to Work available immediately for a full-time, term-time position?

Randstad Education is currently recruiting a qualified Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Market Harborough. This fixed-term contract requires a committed educator to teach 5 days a week starting ASAP through until Christmas 2026. Candidates must be able to commit to the full duration of the contract to provide strong continuity for the students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver High-Impact Lessons: As a dynamic Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured, high-quality mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Full Curriculum Ownership: Take full responsibility for class preparation, marking, student assessment, and monitoring progress throughout the fixed-term placement.
  • Support Student Progression: Differentiate instruction to challenge high achievers while providing targeted support for pupils strengthening core numeracy skills.
  • Maintain High Standards: Foster a structured, positive classroom environment where students feel confident tackling complex problem-solving.
  • Departmental Contribution: Work collaboratively with departmental peers to share resources and ensure seamless teaching delivery across all year groups.

Candidate Profile

We are searching for a reliable, qualified Maths Teacher available to start immediately and complete the full term-time contract.

  • Mandatory Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
  • Mandatory Right to Work in the UK (visa sponsorship is unavailable for this role).
  • Availability to work full-time (5 days a week) from ASAP until Christmas 2026 without interruption.
  • Proven track record of working as a Maths Teacher within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or readiness to process one through Randstad).
