Luma Education Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join an impressive and highly regarded specialist education setting in Newton Abbot, Devon.
With opportunities available to start within the coming weeks, site visits are currently being organised for suitable candidates.
This is an excellent opportunity for a QTS-qualified Maths Teacher who is considering a move away from mainstream education and would like to work in a more supportive and manageable environment.
The role offers a full-time Monday-Friday working week during school hours, with time built into the day for planning, preparation, training and professional development.
About The Role
You will deliver Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of pupils, helping them build confidence and make progress in a specialist education environment.
The Role Will Involve
- Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons
- Adapting teaching to meet individual SEND needs and abilities
- Supporting pupils with SEND, autism, learning difficulties and additional needs
- Building positive relationships and creating a calm learning environment
- Monitoring progress and contributing to individual learning plans
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider specialist team
- Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and practical skills
- Contributing to a positive and supportive school environment

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a QTS-qualified Maths Teacher who is passionate about helping young people succeed.
SEND experience would be advantageous, but teachers from mainstream backgrounds who are interested in developing their specialist experience are encouraged to apply.
