Luma Education Recruitment is working with an impressive specialist school in Peterborough to recruit a passionate and experienced Maths Teacher to join its dedicated teaching team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Maths Teacher with QTS to work within a specialist SEND and SEMH setting, supporting young people to develop their confidence, engagement and academic progress in Maths.
The school offers small class sizes, excellent facilities, free on-site car parking and a friendly, passionate team committed to providing high-quality education and support.
The Role
- Teach engaging and appropriately differentiated Maths lessons
- Work with small classes of pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
- Plan and deliver lessons that build confidence, knowledge and independence
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of individual learning needs
- Establish positive relationships and promote excellent engagement
- Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive school environment

Requirements
- QTS - essential
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Experience working with SEND, SEMH or pupils with additional needs is desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to differentiate effectively for different abilities
- Passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
