MathsMakers is looking for an experienced Maths Instructor to deliver small-group maths support to Year 6 - 9 students in Harrow.
This is a flexible opportunity for an experienced maths teacher or tutor who is looking for a few hours of teaching each week and would like to make a difference to young people.
The role
- Year group: Year 6-9
- Location: Harrow, Barnet and/or Brent
- Day: Wednesday afternoons initially
- Start date: November 2026, after half term
- Rate: £40 per hour
- Hours: A few hours per week, term time
You will deliver small-group maths sessions, helping students strengthen their maths skills, address gaps in their knowledge and build confidence.

About you
We are looking for someone with experience of teaching or tutoring maths, who is confident working with Year 6 students and can adapt sessions to the needs and level of the group.
You will be working as part of the MathsMakers team, with support and guidance from our Executive Director, admin team and other experienced instructors.
About MathsMakers
MathsMakers is an established education charity working in partnership with schools and community organisations across North West London. We provide small-group maths and confidence-building programmes for children and young people, with a particular focus on students facing barriers to learning.
