Role Description

The Maths Tutor role at SEE Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Wolverhampton. The tutor will deliver engaging mathematics lessons, with a particular focus on core concepts and algebra, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Planning sessions
  • Preparing teaching materials
  • Assessing student progress
  • Providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and confidence

The tutor will collaborate with other educators to align lessons with SEE Ltd’s vision of practical, concept-based learning and may contribute to developing educational resources and activities. The role involves:

  • Maintaining a supportive classroom environment
  • Communicating regularly with students and caregivers
  • Integrating innovative approaches that connect mathematics with real-world problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching ability in Mathematics and Algebra.
  • Demonstrated experience in Tutoring and supporting learners at different levels.
  • Effective Communication skills for explaining complex ideas clearly and building learner confidence.
  • Familiarity with Online Tutoring platforms and digital tools, even though the role is primarily on-site.
  • Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with school-age learners in small-group or one-to-one settings.
  • Ability to design engaging, concept-based lessons that encourage problem-solving and independent thinking.
  • Strong organisational skills and a reflective approach to improving teaching practice.
