Maths Tutor
Salary
£19.73 per hour (comprised of £17.61 + 12.07% holiday pay) (increasing up to £39.73 per hour for group sessions).
Job Type
Up to 40 hours per week. (Term-time only. Part-time considered)

Job Purpose
To provide teaching to students 1:1 or in small groups in maths up to GCSE level. You will need a teaching qualification, the ability to learn different curriculums, and adapt your teaching to the needs of the students. We adopt a holistic approach here at WLZ Group. As such, you should have an understanding of the Thrive approach, or willingness to learn more about this.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group tutoring lessons to students in maths, focusing on their individual learning needs.
- Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials, tailored to students’ academic goals, with the support of our team.
- Utilise effective communication skills to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with SEND, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
- Track student progress and provide feedback on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to support student development and success.
- Maintain student lesson notes and use our VLE to provide teaching resources for lessons.
Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles according to students.
- Understanding of the Thrive approach, or willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly within a dynamic working environment.

Pay Structure
- Base rate: £19.73 per hour (comprised of £17.61 + 12.07% holiday pay).
- Additional £5 per student in group sessions (up to 5 students).
- Maximum rate: £39.73 (including holiday pay)
